Steven Vincent Johnson

This Virtual Art Gallery contains a collection of paintings created and copyrighted by Steven Vincent Johnson. Steven's visions touch on science fiction, fantasy, astronomical, and new age themes. Over eighty unique images have been selected from Steven's art starting as far back as 1979.

OBJECTIVE:

This Virtual Art Gallery is an educational, non-commercial WEB site. All images in this Virtual Gallery are not for sale. WEB browsers have permission to down load images from this WEB site FREE OF CHARGE for their own personal and/or educational use as long as the copyright rules are strictly followed.

This Virtual Gallery was specifically designed with the objective of making it convenient for WEB browsers, particularly Art students and professionals alike, to download all images for their own personal or educational needs. To assist in this endeavor I have in most cases installed three different JPEG resolution levels associated with each image: small, medium, and large.

PURPOSE:

There are two major purposes for the existence of the Virtual Art Gallery.

To show potential University of Wisconsin, Madison, clients an example of a WEB application that uses sophisticated advanced HTML features.
To show other artists, professional and student alike, examples of how they might like to take advantage of displaying their creations within the Wide World Web. More importantly, the Virtual Gallery shows a methodology one might wish to follow in order to PROTECT intellectual property while allowing cybercitizens convenient access to important information.

PERSONAL STATEMENT:

I have been a part time freelance artist since graduating from both the University of Wisconsin - Madison campus, and Madison Area Technical College back in 1978. I am also currently a full time employee for the University of Wisconsin, Madison campus, since 1993. I design custom application scripts automating the generation of large hypertext databases for University and University affiliated clients.

This Virtual Art Gallery reveals a collection of formatting styles which I encourage potential University clients to browse. It is my hope that many will find additional ideas on how they might wish to incorporate advanced HTML formatting features into their own WEB sites.

It is my hope that all who browse (and personally experience) this Virtual Art Gallery will come away with a collection of creative ideas and positive feelings.
